AVI to SVCD
RECORDING SVCD IN 2 CD ' S:
From now on I will describe the process to be able to record a AVI movie with better quality but in 2 CD's, for this we will only use the software TmpgEnc and Nero and we will begin right after having downloaded the subtitle.
In this case, it is not necessary to have change the subtitle format to ssa , since TmpgEnc recognizes automatically the subtitle in format srt .
The first thing that we must do is to be sure that the file AVI has the same name than the file of the subtitle and that only, these two archives are in the folder because if it find the subtitle ssa , it will show 2 subtitles in the movie.
Before we begin to use the Tmpgenc we have to do some changes in its configuration, we open the software and generally the first thing that should appear to us is the wizard, wich we should turn off, if it is not like this, we contiunue with the following.
In the initial screen, we click Option and Environmental setting , like it shows the figure of the left hand in which it will open to us a picture title Environmental setting in which we will have to open the screen called Plug-In VFAPI
In this screen we unselect the picture where it says AVI2(OpenDML) File Reader as the image shows and then we will click OK .
This operation is only necessary to do it once, since it will stay configured by default for future conversions.
Right after having configured TmpgEnc as we indicated in the previous section, in the principal screen we opened the wizard clicking File and next we selected Proyect Wizard , there it will open to us a screen like the following titled Project Wizard (1/5)
In it several options of formats will appear to us in our case we will select in Super Video CD the option NTSC Film and we will click Next , and a new screen named Project Wizard (2/5) will appear.
In this screen we should look for our AVI movie in our files with the button Browse , and we don't need to do any additional changes. Automatically it will fill our audio file by default, and remember so as the software reads automatically the subtitles, these should have the same name as the film, a file named in this case should be ihs1.srt .
Now we click the button Next (next)
