It has been a time since i'm downloading my backup of movies and I have tried a lot of programs, the first one that I recommended was XDCC Catcher with his free version and another one of payment, but after a time I had some problems to be able to download in an acceptable velocity and I began to try many others, going through emule, Ares, etc ... until today that I use Utorrent, which works for me pretty well and to a velocity more than acceptable according to my needs, I can download 6 films in 1 day, although i have to say that I have one very good velocity of wideband.
The truth is that the explanation of how Utorrent works is a lot more simple than XDCC Catcher, but also I will try to give you some basic suggestions of its configuration and to give you some more specialist links:
Once download the program, put it in a folder and run it making double click on file, in the first screen will ask if you want certain accesses, accept.. and with this right now would be installed.
Now open the software that should be in the desk or look for the green icon to the right of the bottom bar, where we have regularly the clock and the system's calendar, we give double click to open it and a screen like the following will appear:
The first thing that we will do will be configuring Utorrent to have a better performance, for which in the menu, we give click where it says "Opciones" and then "preferencias", select "General" and the first option is the one "idioma", if it is in English you can change it to Spanish, but if there are no other languages, in the download site, go to Download in the menu, download the Language Pack and copiy it in the folder where the program will be installed, generally it is in C:\Archivos de programa\uTorrent next you restart the program and now you can select the language.
The rest of the options that appear in this screen its better to leave them as they are, now you select the "descargas" option at the left and the following screen will appear to us..
The first option that here appears, is the place of the downloaded files, here we can create a folder where we want the download files to be place, in order to create it we click in the frame with dots at the right of the option, and it will give us the option of creating the folder, click in the folder, that in this case can be "My Documents", then we click "create new folder" and we name it
Now we do the same thing with the option "Move completed unloadings to:" To which it will be send the files that have been downloaded completely. (next)
